The key to this campaign was storytelling. My digital strategy for Give Guide was to highlight and amplify Portland’s hardworking nonprofits while simultaneously collaborating with big brands to land those big ticket prizes. WIllamette Weekly’s Give!Guide fundraiser knows that people want to do good, but they also know that the chance of winning a coastal getaway and local winery memberships help empty pockets. Asking people to donate the year COVID hit was no easy task but ended in a wildly successful 6 million dollars raised for Oregon nonprofits.
